The second graders have listened to the story Easter Egg Farm by Mary Jane Auch.
We thought it would be fun to draw our own egg and chick. So we watched a video by Jan Brett on how to draw a chick. Then using Tuxpaint we drew a colorful egg and a chick to go along with it. Next we wrote a description of our egg and chick in Word. The descriptions are posted here. The next step was for the children in a different class to read the descriptions and try to recreate the egg and chick based on the description. Finally the new and original drawings were posted so the children could see how everything turned out.
